Benoni Baptist Church

Welcome to the Benoni Baptist Church. We are a community of Christ-followers in the heart of Benoni with a heart for Benoni and beyond. Our vision is to be a growing, caring and sharing community of believers living out the love of Christ. We are committed not only to sharing the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, but also to a practical demonstration of the love of Christ through caring for others in many practical ways. We encourage our people to be real with themselves, with others and with God allowing their faith in God to impact all of their lives in practical ways on a daily basis. In seeking to accomplish our vision, we place much emphasis on the following.

The preaching and teaching of the Scriptures. We strive to be a Word-based community, constantly evaluating all that we say and do against the truth of God’s inerrant Word.
The development of a fellowshipping community. We are committed to the development of significant relationships within the community as the basis on which we relate to one another.
An affirmation of the Person and Work of the Holy Spirit. We recognize the need to be Spirit-filled and Spirit-empowered believers. We accept and recognize all the gifts of the Spirit as taught in Scripture and encourage their practice within the community for the edification of the community.
We strive to be a worshipping community recognizing that worship is not simply that which happens before the sermon but is an essential element of connecting with and experiencing God in our lives.

Finally a mission vision which extends beyond the walls of the church into the local community and even beyond the borders of our country.
